Given the Loveland lockdown, we stayed north in CO and headed back to SLC through Steamboat so we could hang with Scraffords a bit. We had yet another incident about 20 miles out of town, when our bike rack decided to give up the ghost. Thank goodness someone flagged us down and let us know it was dragging and thank God it wasn’t on a freeway! Suffice it to say, Tim’s e-bikes front wheel/fork was TOAST, the cover was TOAST, the bike rack was TOAST, but no one got hurt. That added another hour or so to our trip and we are practicing patience. We’ve actually been fairly issue-free on this journey, so I we are trying to see the bright side.
Stagecoach was great…we had a beautiful site on the reservoir, got in some laughs, hiking, lawn games and fishing with the Scraffs and had a chance to decompress! Made some pretty good pizza too right on the water! Good friends ROCK!!
From Stagecoach we headed back to SLC. We stopped and stayed in Vernal overnight to drop ZsaZsa at the RV store. She’s getting some work done and it’s a great place to store her while we are in SLC for the wedding. Met Shorters at the Vernal Subway since they were on their way to Stagecoach and had some laughs….
Now we are in SLC and staying here until Sept. 25th. 19 days until Max and Michelle’s wedding and we can’t wait. I will jump back online in a few weeks to carry on with our adventures. Stay tuned for the midwest again and the East coast journey!!
Happy trails…..
